Ok things have been happening in AK world so here are the updates.
- Alicia keys is currently touring in Europe and Solange is also touring with her in Alicia keys’ AS I AM tour.

- Alicia and Jack White were to preform at MTV show but it was cancelled due to Neck injury White has.Jack White has been forced to cancel his MTV Europe Music Awards appearance after slipping a disc in his neck. The White Stripes frontman – who was set to perform new James Bond theme ‘Another Way To Die’ with Alicia Keys at the event – is still recovering from an injury he suffered on his US tour last month. “MTV are disappointed as are Bond film chiefs. No one knows when he’ll be fit enough to travel again”.

Another way to die the title song to the upcoming James Bond film ‘ Quantum of Solace’ by Jack White and Alicia keys has entered the singles chart. In the UK the song is at #26 and in the Billboard at #107 on downloads only. A cd single is due Oct 20th, just days before the world premiere and should help boost the chart ranking.

There are over a hundred reviews of Alicia’s new movie that i can no longer keep up. All of the reviews i’ve read are giving Alicia keys thumps up for her acting and only one has picked out a flaw in her acting saying ‘ she couldnt pull off the southern dialect well, yet very impressive’. Generally Alicia has been applaude and the movie is great, it even has Oscar buzz to it. It hit theatres tomorrow so dont fail to go see it. For those who know little about Alicia’s role ‘June’ i’ll tell you, She is a strong independent single woman living with her 2 sisters May and August in the 1960s. She is a music teacher who play cello, she was into getting blacks to vote in the civil rights era. She was a little uncomfortable with the runaway that they harboured ‘Lily’ but later in the movie her love flowed. She has a boyfriend who proposes to her everytime even though she turns him down (see the movie to find out why ). I have read the script and i dont want to post spoilers here because i want everyone to enjoy the movie. So see you in the Cinemas.

When Alicia Keys performed her hit song, ‘You Don’t Know My Name,’ last night at the closing of the “2008 Bermuda Music Festival,” it sounded as if the heavens opened up and the angels were singing.

I had no idea that the title of the song would be a double entendre for how the media corps, who were invited to cover the festival, were treated. But that comes later in this piece.

Keys’ beautiful singing was a welcomed reprieve for a four-day event that featured some of the biggest acts in music (namely Beyonce Knowles and UB40), who had to play second fiddle to torrential rainstorms on the idyllic Atlantic Ocean island.

Eleven-time Grammy award winner Alicia Keys commanded the stage like a veteran soul diva, belting hit after hit to a sold-out crowd at the Santa Barbara Bowl.

The R&B singer took audience members through the evolution of love through her nearly two-hour set Friday, from the excitement and innocence of a crush to a crushing heartache, then introspection and realization of the “Superwoman” within to the acceptance of newfound unconditional love with hits like “No One.”
