SOUL star Alicia Keys this week may dabble in her sideline job during her Melbourne visit. The Grammy Award winning singer is a part-time travel writer. Keys files travelogues to a daily New York newspaper, her most recent being on Dubai and China. “If I have time, I’d love to write a travel story about my Australian experience,” Keys told the Herald Sun. “I know it would start something like this: ‘I can’t believe I am in Australia!’ ” she laughed. Classically trained Keys has released two albums and sold 13 million records worldwide. She performs tonight and tomorrow in St Kilda’s Palais Theatre. Source: HERALD SUN 22nd OCTOBER |
