Alicia has been working hard on her third and highly anticipated studio album entitled As I Am, which is due for release on October 23, 2007. Alicia Keys has not released a full new album since 2003 with The Diary of Alicia Keys. Alicia recently spoke to MTV about As I Am and said, “It’s coming together incredibly. I am in love with this album. It’s very fresh and new”.
The album is said to feature John Mayer on two songs — “Lesson Learned” and “Heavy Times“. John Legend, Linda Perry, Timbaland, and Marsha Ambrosius of the UK London band Floetry will also collaborate with Keys.
Titles revealed so far have been “Superwoman“, “Savior“, “Reckless“, “Like You’ll Never See Me Again“, and “Sweet Tooth“.
Rolling Stone magazine reported in December 2005 that Keys and her long-term songwriting partner Kerry “Krucial” Brothers would start working seriously on Keys’ third studio album in the later half of 2006.Keys has explained that her new upcoming album has an edgier feel than her first two albums.

I HOPE THIS AS I AM ALBUM IS A R&B SOUL ALBUM LIKE HER OTHER ALBUMS ARE BUT BY THE SOUND OF WHO IS ON THE ALBUM AS I AM WILL BE A DISAPOINTMENT TO HER TRUE FANS. SHE’LL PROBLEY LOSE FANS IF SHE WON’T STICK WITH SOUL R&B

Oh yea!!! i USED to sing but i left that alone because i hated my voice, but you inspired me to embrass my voice and belch notes no matter how i sound. You make me want to reach my potential AGAIN! I am learning so much from you , especially in this album. OK I am done now!! god bless
