Alicia Keys and White Stripes frontman Jack White have recorded a duet together called “Another Way to Die” for the next Bond film Quantum of Solace, which is due for release 29 October. White has said he had been wanting to collaborate with the award-winning R&B star for “a couple of years”. White also said: “Alicia put some electric energy into her breath that cemented itself into the magnetic tape. Very inspiring to watch. He said the the collaboration “gave me a new voice, and I wasn’t myself any more”. “I drummed for her voice and she mimicked the guitar tones, then we joined our voices and screamed and moaned about these characters in the film and their isolation, having no-one to trust, not even themselves. Maybe we became them for a few minutes.” White has said to be disappointed that an instrumental version of Another Way To Die, from new Bond film Quantum of Solace, is featured in a 007-themed advert for the Coke Zero drink. As they created the sony together for the film and no Coca Cola. |
