MediaTakeOut.com is reporting that Alicia is on the verge of signing on to the new musical Cadillac Records, which will have Beyonce playing the lead part of Etta James.
According to a source involved in the film’s casting, Alicia will play a member of Etta’s one time group, the Peaches. The insider explained to MediaTakeOut.com, “I can’t give too much away, but there’s going to be some on-screen conflict between Beyonce’s and Alicia’s character.”

Please Alicia, do not do this part, cause if Beyonce plays etta, this film will not be taken serious. She loves putting people around her that she can draw from, Beyonce does not hav a clue about creativity, pull out of this one or focus on your 2 potential lead film. Dont slow up your momentum with this get with who’s hot for the moment.

Do not take Mediatakeout serious, they sometimes get their facts all wrong. Alicia should not take the 2nd lead, she has a movie legend to play produced by Oprah, Lena Horne, WWTour, projects with Disney/Queen Latifah. Why would she play a minor role that the lead actress is miss casted as a cuzin, nasty, strong craspy voice singer. Alicia, you said you;re going to be saying no sometimes, well this maybe a great one to start on.

I feel the same way as you both feel. I hope it isnt true. It doesnt merit worth considering. SOME OPPORTUNITIES ARE NOT WORTH GETTING THE EXPERIENCE OR MAKING MONEY. I believe AK will do what’s best.

alicia i think this part will be perfect for you finally one movie i can see with you in it. i think i will be a good movie.
