Alicia has unfortunately been forced to postpone two of her UK tour dates.

Alicia is suffering from laryngitis and has been told by doctors to rest her voice, her publicist told reporters today.

The two postponed dates are for tonight, Monday 25th February at the SECC in Glasgow and tomorrow, Tuesday 26th February at the Manchester Evening News Arena.

The dates are expected to be rescheduled. Alicia’s other two UK shows, at the NIA in Birmingham and London’s O2 Arena, are expected to go ahead as planned.

Alicia owns this house in Muttontown, Long Island — a 15-room center hall Colonial behind a gate on 2.2 acres. Alicia bought the property in 2005 for $3.9 million under the name “Safe Haven LC.”

The 1981 house has six bedrooms, six baths and 2 half-baths. There is a 50-foot pool with a Jacuzzi and a pool house.

MediaTakeOut.com is reporting that Alicia is on the verge of signing on to the new musical Cadillac Records, which will have Beyonce playing the lead part of Etta James.

According to a source involved in the film’s casting, Alicia will play a member of Etta’s one time group, the Peaches. The insider explained to MediaTakeOut.com, “I can’t give too much away, but there’s going to be some on-screen conflict between Beyonce’s and Alicia’s character.”
