MediaTakeOut.com reports:
MediaTakeOut.com is hearing whispers that Alicia Keys and Whitney Houston may sing a duet at next year’s Grammy Awards. Word going around is that both Alicia and Whitney’s people are working hard behind the scenes to make the duet happen.
But there is a small hiccup in the plans. MediaTakeOut.com is hearing that while Alicia is extremely excited about singing with Whitney, Whitney’s not too keen about sharing the stage with the younger superstar.
We’ll let you know as soon as we hear anything else….

Alicia Keys hopes Jamie Lynn Spears will become a spokesperson for safe sex. The singer made her plea live on US TV talk show The View.
Speaking about Spears, who is 16 and pregnant, Keys said: “I think that maybe she can use this opportunity to talk about the ways that it’s really important to have safe sex and it’s difficult [for teens] to refrain and restrain but it’s really important because it changes your whole life.
“It’s a very serious thing.”
Keys appeared as a guest co-host on the daily magazine show, which features 52-year-old actress Whoopi Goldberg.
Talking about the effect that early stardom has on young people, Keys, 27, told the three panelists and the studio audience: “Different people have different lives and different situations. I think that it is a very intense business and that in a lot of ways you are exposed to so much so quickly, so often there’s really no limit to what you can get or have or do. “[Whatever you ask for] is there.

Alicia is so depressed by the state of the music industry she can’t listen to the radio without bursting into tears. Alicia claims record labels force meaningless, emotionless and disposable music on the public - and they are killing creativity as a result.
She says, “We’re in a certain instant gratification era right now that kills the whole vibe. It murders it because it makes it so accessible and easy. You can find any song anywhere at any time, so why buy it? “Then, also, at the heart of the matter, is the fact that people aren’t motivated to even feel anything anymore. So much music right now is empty, and that’s what we get shoved down our throats every day; emptiness.
“If I watch videos or listen to radio for more than an hour, I want to cry.”

“I was looking at a magazine earlier and thinking, ‘How is it that two people are on a boat in the middle of the ocean and there’s a picture of them there? Like, seriously, how does somebody know when you’re gonna be on a boat in the middle of the ocean? That’s crazy!”

A little secrecy can be a good thing in guarding one’s love life, says Alicia Keys – but not such a good thing when it comes to dealing with depression.
Asked by Giant magazine about a rumored romance with her producer, the singer replies, “That’s what they’ve been saying for a while now, but I don’t usually address that question. Oprah told me never to tell – and I can’t disobey Oprah!”
Keys, 26, has been getting that a lot lately. On Tuesday, Uma Thurman offered similar advice to Keys when a personal question slipped through at a press conference for the Nobel Peace Prize concert.
She will admit this much about her love life: “I definitely found my partner. I know he is somebody who will always be special to me and that we’re always going to be in each other’s lives.”
